PETERBOROUGHS DOWNTOWN FARMERS’ MARKET
Guest Chef: Lorianne Cicchillio from Algonguin Catering
Wednesday June 19th 2013
On Wednesday June 19th, the Peterborough Downtown Farmers’ Market is happy to welcome back Lorianne Cicchillio from Algonquin Catering as our second Guest Chef of the 2013 season. Lorianne is a great promoter of all things local and has been our a Guest Chef over several seasons. Market-goers will learn exciting ways to creatively use local, seasonal produce as it comes rolling off the farms into their fridges from Guest Chefs throughout the season.
This is an incredible time of year at the Downtown Farmers’ Market. We are seeing the more seasonal produce roll off the farms. Lorianne will be using fresh asparagus, rhubarb, green onions, shiitake mushrooms and sprouts from an array of farmers, as well as bacon from Sannox Farms and feta from Cross Wind Farms. Join us at market to discover, and sample what she is making.
Right downtown Peterborough, every Wednesday between 8:30-2pm, market-goers can find a festive and bustling market full of their favourite vendors selling seasonal produce, meats, cheese, fresh flowers, baked goods, crafts, plants to grow, coffee and lunches to go. All market products are Kawarthas’ Own and Locally Grown!
