Donald and Krista will be presenting at Seedy Sunday, this upcoming Sunday at St. James United Church in Peterborough (221 Romaine St.), at 2:30pm.

Seedy sunday is a great seed exchange/sale for local growers — and an excellent opportunity for you to get a jump on your food production for this year. We’ll be starting our tomatoes and peppers at the end of March, a lot of which will be from seed from Seedy Sunday.

The event runs from 1pm-4pm.

We’ll be presenting a workshop on local/seasonal food sourcing (and growing and preserving).

“365 Days of Local”

Farm to Table’s Donald Fraser and Krista Campbell Fraser will take you through a year in the kitchen of a Peterborough “locavore.” Take a month-by-month seasonal trip through the Peterborough area and learn how to create versatile year-round menus using local ingredients and produce from your own urban garden. Explore the benefits of making your own breads, cereals, and yogurt. Learn to supplement your winter menus by canning, freezing, and drying foods during the harvest.
