Another great week on the Peterborough Farm to Table Culinary Tours. we had a great mix of locals, cottagers, and imports from afar. special thanks to Jennifer Brown Jones and the Lovesick Lake crew for helping make this a fun one.
Black Honey Dessert and Coffeehouse made some new fans — particularly a couple of gluten-free ones. The Night Kitchen blew some minds with their sheer number of pies — and with the killer pulled pork/strawberry number. Sam’s Place – ”The Best Dan Deli In Town” got some mouths watering with the panchetta sammies. Rare Grill House started out great, but then the crew got a bit scared of the pork tongue — perhaps this wasn’t the bravest bunch. 😉 Brad Watt then charmed the crowd with his wit and wonderful stories. Chasing the Cheese was… well… their usual. Which means, bloody awesome. Good to see plenty of cheese sales this week. Oddly enough, the crew was more intent on drinking the wine than learning about it at Le Petit Bar, though at least 3 people said they were “definitely” coming back.
Now? Now, I’m burnt out. It’s been a long three hours. And time for a cold beer.
